Agiorgitiko

Agiorgitiko

Greece · Red · Available (A)

“St George’s grape,” centred on Nemea in the Peloponnese, and the most planted red in Greece. Deep colour, soft tannins, low acidity, ripe red and black fruit with a sweet-spice edge. Extremely versatile: fresh unoaked reds, serious oak-aged bottlings, and some of Greece’s best rosé. Altitude within Nemea matters enormously.
