Grown mainly in Armavir and Ararat. Green apple and ripe pear with a light body and clean finish. Agriculturally awkward — poor frost resistance and susceptibility to fungal disease — but productive on stony, semi-desert soils. Split between brandy production and a growing volume of table wine.
