Bulgaria’s most distinctive white and its best claim to a signature aromatic grape. Pink-skinned, grown in the Sungurlare Valley and the Rose Valley near Karlovo. Despite the name it is not a true Muscat — it is generally considered a natural cross. Gives linden blossom, rose, peach and citrus, with moderate acidity and a slightly oily texture. Made dry, off-dry and occasionally sparkling.
