Malagousia

Malagousia

Greece · White · Available (A)

Almost extinct by the 1970s, rescued by Vangelis Gerovassiliou from a handful of vines and now planted across northern Greece and beyond. Intensely aromatic without being Muscat-like: peach, basil, sweet green herbs, jasmine. Moderate acidity and a plush texture. One of Greece’s great modern success stories, and easy to find.
