Smederevka
Serbia · White · Limited (B)
Widely planted and highly productive, named after the medieval capital of Smederevo, with refreshing acidity and a neutral aromatic profile that suits light everyday wines. It is a synonym of Bulgaria’s Dimyat, and is also one of the most widely planted whites in North Macedonia. Some producers now use it for sparkling and skin-contact wines, which is by far the more interesting direction.
