Northern Serbia, particularly Vojvodina, and related to Prokupac. Oszkár Maurer’s “Kadarka 1880” comes from massale selections of vines planted between 1880 and 1912, giving light, spicy wine with cranberry and pepper. A few natural-wine producers have made it interesting again.
